Classic chair or electric chair: what is the difference?
A classic chair is a suitable choice for many people. It offers a familiar place to sit and relax and can be used without a motor or remote control. If you can sit down and stand up well and do not need an adjustable seating position, a classic chair may be perfectly sufficient.
If your own needs change, sitting down or standing up can sometimes require more strength. If it is hard to sit down slowly and in a controlled way, you may end up dropping into the chair. That can be uncomfortable and put strain on the body.
An electric chair can be adjusted comfortably with a remote control. Depending on the model, the backrest and footrest can be moved independently of each other – so it is easier to find a comfortable position for reading, watching TV or resting.
An electric stand-up chair also offers a stand-up function: it brings the seat into a raised position and supports you when standing up. To sit down, you stand with your back to the seat and slowly lower it. This way you can sit down in a more controlled way instead of dropping into the chair. Not every electric chair has such a stand-up function, however.
If, besides comfortable sitting and relaxing, you also want support when sitting down and standing up, an electric relaxing and stand-up chair can be a suitable choice.

Stand-up function
The stand-up function makes it easier to get up from the chair, as your bottom is lifted up and you only have to start walking. In return, you can stand with your back to the chair and slowly and safely lower yourself into the seated position. A lack of muscle strength in the legs can be compensated for elegantly and safely this way.

- Well-thought-out armrests: For better support and more safety when standing up and sitting down, the surface of the armrests is flattened towards the inside.
- Lumbar support: To increase seating stability, ergonomics and, of course, comfort, the chair has a lumbar support built into the back.
