Accessibility Statement

1) Introduction

We are pleased that you are visiting our website and thank you for your interest.

Below you will find information on the accessibility of our online services.

We inform you about:

  • what services and functions you can expect on this website,
  • how you can use these services and functions,
  • what options for accessible use are available to you, and
  • which authority is responsible for monitoring accessibility on this website.

2) Services and Functions of this Website

This website is an online shop for the sale of goods.

Goods in this context are physical items.

Goods are presented here which can be added to an electronic shopping cart and then ordered and paid for in a binding manner.

This website has a header menu and a footer menu.

In the header menu, the goods we sell are listed by category and can be accessed individually from there.

Each product is described on its own detail page, with further information on its essential characteristics, the scope of delivery and the total price. From there, it can be added to the electronic shopping cart.

The electronic shopping cart can also be accessed via the header menu as soon as you have added at least one product to it. From this shopping cart, the electronic ordering process can be started and completed.

In the footer menu, you will find links to our legal notice (Impressum) with our contact information, as well as to information on the legal basis of our online services, shipping and payment options, and links to other helpful service pages.

3) Explanations on Using the Services and Functions

3.1 Virtual Buttons

This website can be operated using virtual buttons.

3.2 Home, Overview and Detail Pages

On the home page, you will find a selection of the products on offer in the central area of the page. By interacting with a product presentation, you will be taken to the product detail page.

In the header menu, you can navigate between the different product categories. After selecting a category, you will be taken to an overview page displaying all products in that category.

By interacting with a product presentation on the overview page, you will in turn be taken to the product detail page.

In addition to all essential information about the product and the total price, the product detail pages may contain a quantity selector and a shopping cart button.

Where available, the quantity selector can be used to set the desired order quantity.

3.3 Electronic Shopping Cart

By pressing the shopping cart button, you add the product (in the selected quantity, if applicable) to the electronic shopping cart.

This electronic shopping cart can be accessed at any time via the header menu.

Here you can first review the products you have added. Using the corresponding buttons, products can be removed or, where applicable, their order quantity can be changed.

3.4 Electronic Ordering Process

After reviewing your cart, you can complete the electronic ordering process by interacting with the corresponding buttons.

To do so, you will first be asked to enter your contact details (at least your name, email address and delivery or billing address) in an input form.

In the next step, you can choose between the available delivery or service options.

Finally, you can choose one of the available payment methods, enter the required payment details and complete your order.

The order is only placed in a binding manner when the button provided for this purpose on the final order page is pressed. It is labelled "Buy", "Buy now", "Order with obligation to pay" or with another unambiguous wording.

Before pressing this order button, you can navigate back to the previous steps at any time using your browser's "Back" button and/or cancel the ordering process at any time.

If you have chosen to pay using an online payment method, you will be redirected from the final order page to the payment provider's system to complete the payment there.

4) Legal Accessibility Requirements

As an online shop, this website is classed as an "e-commerce service" and is characterised by the ability to order and pay electronically.

Special legal accessibility requirements apply to it.

In general, this website must provide functions and procedures that are geared to the needs of people with disabilities and that enable it to be operated with digital assistive technologies.

To this end, the online shop functions of this website must be:

  • perceivable,
  • operable,
  • understandable, and
  • robust.

Perceivability means that the information and components of the online shop are presented in such a way that they can be easily perceived by all users.

Operability requires that the functions of the online shop can also be used by users with limited mobility or cognitive impairments.

Understandability requires that the information and functions of the online shop are logically structured, easily recognisable and unambiguously labelled.

Finally, robustness requires that the content and functions of the online shop can be used reliably and without restrictions, even when users are using digital assistive technologies.

If products offered for sale in the online shop are themselves subject to accessibility requirements, information on their accessible use must be provided for such products, where available.

5) Available Aids for Accessible Use

This website meets the accessibility requirements through the following measures:

  • Alt texts for images: Images in the online shop are provided with alternative texts that give a short description of the image and can be processed by screen readers.
  • Adjustable font size: The font size of the page content can be adjusted via a setting to make it as perceivable as possible for every user.
  • Adjustable colour contrast: The colour contrast of the page elements can be adjusted. It can be increased and decreased.
  • Operable by mouse and keyboard: The online shop functions can be operated by both mouse and keyboard. The mouse pointer can be moved and activated in the online shop using the keyboard's control keys.
  • Browser-independent page display: The content and functions of this website are available in the same layout, alignment and resolution regardless of the browser used.
  • Verified correctness of HTML code: All HTML code is continuously checked for functionality in order to rule out functional failures and a lack of detectability by digital assistive technologies.
  • Sufficient spacing between characters: Characters are displayed with sufficient spacing between them so as not to impair readability.
  • Screen reader compatibility: The content of the online shop is compatible with all common screen readers and can be read and processed by them.
  • Responsive design (adaptation to different screen sizes): The content, elements and functions automatically adapt their dimensions to the size of the screen being used.
  • Scalability (visibility when zoomed): Page elements and content remain legible in high resolution even when zoomed in.
  • Strong colour contrast: A strong contrast between the colours of text and backgrounds is set by default to ensure optimal visibility of page elements.
  • Subtitles in videos: Embedded videos are provided with subtitles to enable deaf users to watch them without restriction.
