Our customers' questions about our products
Can’t find your question? Our customer support team is happy to help:
Adjusting seat height and seat tilt
Easily adapt your shower stool or shower chair to your individual needs.
Adjust the seat height
With the adapter set, you raise the entire seat by 4 or 8 cm. Depending on your needs, you can set the shower stool or shower chair to your preferred height.
Adjust the seat tilt
With the adapter set, you can tilt the seat by 13° into an ergonomic wedge seat position. This makes sitting down and standing up easier, especially after hip or knee surgery, and provides a joint-friendly, comfortable sitting posture.
What are the benefits of the wedge seat?
Getting up from a normal chair is difficult not only for older people. People who suffer from chronic back pain or have had knee or hip surgery also benefit from the seat's position, which is sloped at an angle of 13°.
Easier to stand up and sit down
A huge advantage of a wedge-shaped seat is that the distance between the seat and your bottom is not as great. This means the thigh muscles are not strained as much when sitting down, and the downward movement becomes safer.
The same applies to the upward movement when standing up. Thanks to the sloping shape of the seat, your hips are already in the middle of the movement, and you need less strength to bring your body into an upright position.
Relief for your back
Many people find it easier to sit upright when the seat tilts forward and down. The spine is straightened and the back muscles are relieved.
Healthier sitting after surgery
Especially after hip or knee surgery, it is recommended to bend the treated joints at an obtuse angle to the body. This means the hips are positioned higher than the knees, or the knees are not bent more than a right angle.
